
Avery Townsend, Kacy Bennett and Lauren Williams have been named outstanding students of the month for March at Pendleton County Middle/ High School.
Townsend, a senior, is the Academic Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Jeremy and Kara Townsend of Franklin. She is the president of the class of 2025, where she is ranked fifth in her class. She is a member of the PCHS softball, basketball, and volleyball teams. She was WHSV Student-Athlete of the Week and has received All-State and Potomac Valley Conference honors for basketball, softball, and volleyball. She is a member of National Honor Society, Pep Club, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She has received a partial softball scholarship to Fairmont State University, where she plans to play softball and major in accounting.
A senior, Bennett is the James Huffman Responsible Student of the Month at PCHS. He studies automotive technology at the South Branch Career and Technical Center. He enjoys fishing and working on vehicles. His plans are to work as an automotive mechanic after graduation. He is the son of Charles and Kristina Bennett of Circleville.
Williams, an eighth grader, is the Pendleton County Middle School Student of the Month. Her parents are Carl and Andrea Williams. She resides in Brandywine with her family. She participates in basketball and softball. She enjoys reading books, playing her two sports, spending time outside, and traveling to places near and far. She often finds herself lost in her own imagination. Her future plans are to pursue a career that has something to do with animals, and she aspires to play college basketball while in school.
