Barbara Marie Kimble Roberson

Barbara Marie Kimble Roberson, 79, of Troutman, North Carolina, passed away Feb. 14, 2025, at Autumn Care in Cornelius, North Carolina.

She was born on Aug. 26, 1945, in Smoke Hole to the late Virgil Jacob Kimble and Nellie Grace Wilfong Kimble. 

Mrs. Roberson worked for Howland Local School System in Warren, Ohio, for more than 20 years before her retirement.

She enjoyed crocheting and made many afghans. She was an avid West Virginia University and Ohio State University football and basketball fan. She enjoyed playing cards and Rummy was her favorite game.

Her husband, Junior Henry Roberson, preceded her in death.

Surviving are a daughter, Sonya Doutt (Ron); sisters, Betty Jo VanMeter, Polly Vance, and Nancy Cosco (David); a brother, Bruce Kimble; grandchildren, Megan Boudreaux (Shawn) and Ryan Doutt; a great-grandchild, Denver; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Virgil Wayne Kimble.

No services are planned at this time.

Cavin-Cook Funeral Home and Crematory in Mooresville, North Carolina, is serving the Roberson family.
