Lucy M. Westfall, 87, of Franklin passed away Sept. 10, 2026, at Cortland Acres Nursing Home in Thomas.
She was born Oct. 22, 1938, in Franklin and was the daughter of the late James Dewey Mattox and Mabel Ellen (Westfall) Mattox.
Mrs. Westfall worked at Franklin Garment Company, Hanover Shoe Company and the IGA deli.
She was a member of Living Faith Church.
On Oct. 21, 1979, she married Charles Junior Westfall, Sr., who preceded her in death on April 22, 2026.
Surviving are a son, Oliver “Buster” Mowery of Franklin; a sister, Ruth Miller (Conrad) of Mathias; three brothers, Ervin Mattox (Lydia) of Baker, Homer Dewey Mattox of Burlington and Willard Mattox (Judy) of Blacksburg or Roanoke, Virginia; five grandchildren, Oliver Brian Mowery, Derek Mowery, Agenia Mowery, Vanessa Mowery and Melina Mason; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by five sisters, Hilda Simmons, Bonnie Pennington, Stella Philippi, Beulah Sharp and Kay Wilfong; and a stepson, Charles Junior Westfall, II.
A celebration of life service was held Tuesday with Pastor Brad Mitchell officiating.
