Patricia “Ann” Grogg, 67, of Stuarts Draft, Virginia, passed away Sept. 19, 2024, at River Edge Rehabilitation and Nursing in Waynesboro, Virginia.
She was born May 18, 1957, in Highland County, Virginia, a daughter of the late Edward Homer and Elva “Bucky” Grace (Puffenbarger) Grogg.
A beloved mother, sister, and aunt, Mrs. Grogg enjoyed spending time with her family, taking photos, and making memories. She loved to bake, play cards, and color art on her phone. She loved reading her Bible and listening to gospel songs. Additionally, she enjoyed family dinners when all the family would be together. She would keep in touch with family and friends and unfailingly check on the family’s dogs, Helen, Otis, and Ronnie.
The love of her life, Lawrence Lawson Lowry, preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, Steven Phillip Grogg of Stuarts Draft, Virginia; a granddaughter, Ella Grace Grogg; a grandson, Layne Proffitt; a sister, Betty Jean Lowry of Crimora, Virginia; two nieces, Victoria Angel Miller and Laurasteen N. Lowry; a great-niece, Zariah Lynn Lowry; and a half brother, W.J. Puffenbarger of Maryland.
She was also preceded in death by a stepsister, Judy Lyles.
A funeral service was held Monday at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell, Virginia, with Lieutenant Arkadia Bottenfield officiating. Burial followed in Union Chapel Cemetery at Blue Grass, Virginia.
Friends in attendance served as pallbearers.
