Pendleton County’s junior horticulture team placed first at the West Virginia State 4-H Horticulture contest held June 22 in Morgantown. Members of the team were, from left, Hannah Heavner, Ross Pownell and Marion Williams. Pownell received the first place overall individual award and was first in the judging and identification categories. Heavner was the second place individual in the quiz category.
