William Edward Rush, Sr., 93, of Franklin passed away Jan. 3, 2025, at Sentara RMH in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
He was born on July 30, 1951, in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of the late William Benjamin and Naomi (Siefert) Rush.
Mr. Rush was a graduate of Kenwood High School in Baltimore, Maryland, and retired from Bethlehem Steel as a heavy equipment operator, after 30 plus years of service.
He loved fishing, collecting baseball cards, drag racing, and watching western movies. He was a dedicated fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
His wife, Lita Charlene (Webb) Rush, preceded him in death on Feb. 24, 2022.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory a daughter, Nichole Marie Rush of Baltimore, Maryland; a son, William Rush, Jr. of Franklin; and a grandson, Dayne Rich McKay.
In honoring his wishes, his body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Baltimore, Maryland.
