Velma “Kitty” Kathleen Lambert Kettlewell, 96, of Wheeling died Oct. 22, 2024, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Wheeling.
She was born Jan. 17, 1928, in Piedmont, a daughter of the late Esta and Lola Eye Lambert.
Mrs. Kettlewell was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, worked at Heck’s Department Store and later retired from the activities department at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. She enjoyed bowling and playing bingo.
Her husband, Harold Kettlewell, preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children, Judith (Michael) Braunlich, George Kettlewell and Kathleen (David) Eckman, all of Wheeling; siblings, Ervin, Benjamin and Linda Lambert and Katie George; grandchildren, Lori Sullivan, Courtney Westerberg, Bryan Braunlich, Justin and Zachary Eckman and Kaitlin VanDyne; great-grandchildren, Kaden and Delaney Sullivan, Elia and Gavin Braunlich, Shannon and Savannah Westerberg, Adalynn and Ethan Eckman and Elijah VanDyne; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by brothers, George, Clinton and Carrol Lambert; and sisters, Imogene Tingler and Dottie Miller.
A funeral service was held Friday at Good Shepherd Nursing Home Chapel in Wheeling with Father Joel Grissom officiating, Interment followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Wheeling.
