The Eastern Regional FFA Scholastic Contests were held April 11 at Pendleton County Middle/High School. FFA members from East Hardy High School, Moorefield Middle School, Moorefield High School, Petersburg High School and Pendleton County Middle/High School participated in the contests.
Pendleton County FFA members earned honors in four contests and qualified to advance to the state competition at the state FFA convention in July.
Ella Johnston earned first place in the upper classman creed contest.
Ty Heavner placed first in the underclassman creed competition.
First place winner in the prepared speaking contest was Lydia Heavner.
The parliamentary procedure team, composed of Kaylee Callison, Lydia Heavner, McKenna Hedrick, Johnston, Gena Lambert and Makayla Tingler, earned first place.
All winners were presented certificates by Ron Hudson, local FFA advisor.
