Pendleton County’s Coach Pitch Little League champions, coached by Coty Puffenbarger, Andrew Kiser, and Steve Cook, earned a 12-2 record on their way to winning the county title. They then took a third seed into an eight-team tournament in Petersburg. The team earned a 15-0 victory in the second round, partly on the strength of a Fletcher Puffenbarger home run. In the championship game, they prevailed 15-6, including a home run by Romeo Perez II. As part of their reward for prevailing in the tournament, the team took home championship rings, taking their place in the rich history of Pendleton County baseball success.
