Juniors and seniors at Pendleton County High School participated in a career fair on April 22 at the school. The event was organized by Communities in Schools coordinator Lesley Cook. The students had the opportunity to speak with representatives from 17 businesses regarding job opportunities, skills and education requirements. The students had a passport card that was signed by the company representatives and turned in for a chance to win door prizes. The businesses attending the event were Pendleton County 911 Center, Allegheny Woods, American Woodmark, U.S. Army National Guard, Coordinating Council for Independent Living, Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College, Grant Memorial Hospital, Hinkle Trucking, Pendleton Community Bank, Pendleton Community Care, Pendleton County Sheriff’s Office, Pendleton Manor, Pilgrim’s Pride, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Naval Academy, West Virginia Department of Highways and the West Virginia State Police Department.
