Cody Mitchell of Upper Tract recently traveled to Omaha, Nebraska, to represent West Virginia in the American Farm Bureau Collegiate Discussion Meet Competition.
Throughout the discussions, he was able to sit down with several other competitors from across the country to thoroughly analyze and find solutions to many pressing issues impacting American agriculture today. Though he didn’t advance, Mitchell says that he is thankful not only for all that he was able to learn throughout this experience, but also for the amazing people he was able to work and connect with along the way.
While there, he was also able to take in other sights as well, such as the Lauritzen Gardens and the Joslyn Castle. This was definitely a memorable event for him, and he is excited to see what else he will be able to do through the farm bureau in the future.
Mitchell is a member of the Pendleton County Farm Bureau.
