Linda Lane Puffenbarger Malcom, 76, of Covington, Virginia, left this earthly life on Dec. 26, 2023, while a patient at Lewis Gale Hospital Montgomery in Blacksburg, Virginia.
She was born Dec. 8, 1947, in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and was the only child of the late Harvey C. Puffenbarger and Glenna Todd Puffenbarger of Sugar Grove.
Mrs. Malcolm graduated from Franklin High School in 1966.
In 1985, she completed a certified nursing assistant course at Dabney S. Lanchester Community College and was a nursing assistant. She was a member of Covington Grace Brethren Church, and having accepted Jesus as her personal savior, she is now enjoying her heavenly home.
She married Garet Malcom on Aug. 3, 1968, and moved to Covington, Virginia.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 55 years are a daughter, Tricia Malcom of North Chesterfield, Virginia; and a number of cousins
She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter.
A graveside service was held on Saturday at Sugar Grove Cemetery with Rev. Dan Gillette officiating.
