Julia Ann Pennington, 45, of Franklin passed away at her home on Oct. 10, 2024.
She was born Nov. 8, 1978, at Harrisonburg, Virginia, and was the daughter of Lynwood Pennington of Franklin and the late Janice Ann (Mullenax) Pennington.
Ms. Pennington was a 1997 graduate of Franklin High School and had worked as a cashier at Johnson’s Drug Store in Richlands, North Carolina, and Rite-Aid in Franklin.
She attended Smith Creek Church of the Brethren.
Also surviving are a sister, Rachel Gardiner (Stacey) of Franklin; a brother, Jason Pennington (Zoeann) of Buckhannon; a niece, Megan Cross (Troy); three nephews, Daniel, Dylan and Jayden Gardiner; a great-niece, Laura Cross; and several aunts, uncles and cousins, including a special cousin, Eddie Geil of Elkton, Virginia.
A funeral service was held Monday at the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin with Pastor Harold Mullenax officiating. Interment was at the Lambert Cemetery near Franklin.
