Jason Carl Propst, 52, of Franklin passed away on June 21, 2022, at his home.
He was born on Sept. 10, 1969, the son of the late Cleveland Lewis “Toots” and Bertha Lee (Fink) Propst.
Mr. Propst attended Franklin High School and worked as a heavy equipment operator. He also worked at Hanover Shoe Company and A & J Excavating in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
He was a member of the Franklin Moose Lodge #769 and enjoyed riding his four-wheeler and hanging out with his friends.
Surviving are two sisters, Amy Lee VanMeter (Danny) of Franklin and Janet Lynn Smith (Tony) of Bridgewater, Virginia; a brother, Lewis S. Propst (Shirley) of Westminster, Maryland; two nephews, Adam and Aaron Smith; two nieces, Holly Huffman and Rebekah Powers; seven great-nephews; and two great-nieces.
In honoring Mr. Propst’s wishes his body will be cremated.
A celebration of life was held June 25 at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin with Tony Smith officiating.
