A contract to replace a low water crossing in Pendleton County with a 50-foot bridge is among 20 highways projects in a bid letting conducted by the West Virginia Division of Highways. The new bridge will be paid for with funding from Gov. Jim Justice’s $2.8 billion Roads to Prosperity program.
The Greenawalt Gap Bridge project will replace a low water crossing over Mill Run on Greenawalt Gap Road in Pendleton County with a 50-foot bridge. The existing low water crossing partially washed out in 2021. The new bridge will allow for more efficient flow of Mill Run and for much better access during periods of high water.
