Glenda Kay McCutchan, 69, of Ellenburg Center, New York, and formerly of Franklin passed away June 21, 2022, at Essex Center Nursing Home in Elizabethtown, New York.
She was born on June 13, 1953, in Warm Springs, Virginia, the daughter of the late Elmer Odie and Mary Elaine (Fleisher) Nelson.
Ms. McCutchan was a 1971 graduate of Petapsco High School in Dundalk, Maryland, and a member of the Franklin Church of Christ.
She loved watching older TV shows, soap operas, and talking with family and friends on the phone. She was a home health homemaker and had worked for the Franklin Garment Company.
Surviving are two daughters, Heather Vigar (Ryan) of Bridgewater, Virginia, and Amber Mller (Jody) of Mooers Forks, New York; a sister, Janice Elaine Samuels (Duane) of Stuarts Draft, Virginia; a brother, Johnny Nelson Wright of Franklin; five grandchildren, Cory Mick, Taylor Mick, Tyler Mick, Jacob Kuykendall and Cam’ron Vigar; and a great-grandchild.
In honoring Ms. McCutchan’s wishes, her body has been cremated.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Cave Country Campground Pavilion in Franklin. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin with Pastor Larry Danner officiating. Inurnment will be at North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton.
