William Luther Simmons (Nov. 23, 1895 - Jan. 26, 1982), the son of James Harvey and Polly Margaret Bowers Simmons, was married to Myra Alice Mitchell Simmons (July 13, 1897 - 1972). She was the daughter of Emanuel and Jemima Frances Simmons Mitchell, who married Nov. 6, 1920. William and Myra had the following children: Leota M., Frances Margaret, Stellman Carlon, Norman Luther, Doris Mary, Herman Strobel, and Sheldon Ona.
