Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College’s Workforce Education Department in Moorefield will offer a variety of short-term training programs beginning Aug. 22. The programs are designed to give students the training needed to enter the workforce as entry-level workers.
Short-term training programs include certified nursing assistant, dental assistant, dialysis tech, HVAC, medical assistant, medical billing and coding, recovery coach, pharmacy tech, phlebotomy tech and welding.
Eastern will also be offering online and in-person workshops throughout the year on the following topics: anti-stigma, 2D AutoCad, drone training and grant proposal writings.
“Eastern’s Workforce Education programs are unique learning opportunities to help meet students’ educational goals,” said Melissa Shockey, director of Workforce Education. “All of our programs have been developed to give students both classroom instruction and practical hands-on training.”
