Vandalia Health’s Davis Medical Center welcomes the addition of Dr. Henry Fooks, Jr., MD, FACS, a highly skilled and board-certified urologist. Fooks brings extensive experience in treating a wide range of urological conditions, from kidney stones and urinary tract infections to prostate health and advanced surgical interventions.
Fooks earned his bachelor of science in biology from George Washington University, Washington, DC, and his doctor of medicine from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Cincinnati, Ohio. Additionally, he received training in general surgery and urology at Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland, Letterman Army Medical Center, San Francisco, California, and Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia.

Fooks specializes in the treatment of conditions such as erectile dysfunction, urinary tract infections, kidney stones, testicular masses, overactive bladder/ urinary frequency, blood in urine, and other men’s and women’s urinary health issues.
Enhanced procedures in the diagnosis and treatment of urological conditions performed by Fooks include transurethral resection of bladder tumors), transurethral resection of the prostate, prostate biopsy, hydrocelectomies, vasectomy, bladder Botox injections, bladder urodynamic studies, and more.
He also served in the United States military where he served the ranks of Major, Captain, First Lieutenant, and Second Lieutenant in the United States Army Medical Corps from 1979 to 1995. During this time, he earned the Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, two-time recipient of the Army Commendation Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon. He also practiced urologic medicine at Army Medical Centers, VAMC’s, and USA Health Clinics across the United States
