Allie Cooper, Baylie Kirby and McKenzie Vandevander have been named outstanding students of the month for April at Pendleton County Middle/High School.
Cooper is the April Academic Student of the Month. A senior, she is the daughter of Rod and Angie Cooper of Seneca Rocks. She is an active member of Educators Rising, National Honor Society, Grow Your Own, and Pep Club. She has played volleyball all four years of high school and was team captain and was named All-PVC and Second Team All-State. She is on the All-A Honor Roll and attends Bible Missionary Church in Onego. Her plans are to attend Fairmont State University and major in education with a focus in school counseling.
Kirby is the James Huffman Responsible Student of the Month. She is a senior and is an active member of National Honor Society, Pep Club, Educators Rising, and Wayside Church. She has proudly been on the All-A Honor Roll all four years of high school. She loves to play soccer and spends time volunteering at Franklin Elementary School. Her plans are to attend Potomac State College and then transfer to West Virginia University. She has goals to play soccer at the college-level and focus her academics on becoming an elementary teacher. She is the daughter of Jeremy and Bridgett Kirby of Upper Tract.
Vandevander is the Pendleton County Middle School Student of the Month. She is in the seventh grade and is the daughter of Eric and Jessica Vandevander of Seneca Rocks. She is a member of the student council and Penny Club. She enjoys art and playing volleyball. In the future, she has shown an interest in pursuing a career in cardiology.
