Maggie Connor, Myra Mitchell and Chloe Kisamore have been named outstanding students of the month for May at Pendleton County Middle/High School.
Connor is the James Huffman Responsible Student of the Month. She is an active member of National Honor Society and is vice president of student council. She also participates in cheerleading and gymnastics. She has been on the honor roll every year, received most valuable player for cheer, has won the Golden Horseshoe contest, and is a previous Young Writer’s winner. Her plans are to attend Fairmont State University to study computer science and psychology. A senior, she is the daughter of John and Michelle Connor.
Mitchell is the Academic Student of the Month. A senior, she is the daughter of Benny and Dinah Mitchell. She is an active member of National Honor Society, Pep Club, and St. Paul Independent Lutheran Church. She is the salutatorian of the Class of 2024. She plans to attend West Virginia University and major in dental hygiene.
Kisamore is the Pendleton County Middle School Student of the Month. An eighth grader, she participates in volleyball conditioning and enjoys reading. She also received awards at regional levels for both the Science Fair and Math Field Day. Currently, she is interested in a career in either psychology or law. She is the daughter of Philip and Amy Kisamore of Riverton.
