Brittany Elizabeth Young, 32, of Franklin passed away Nov. 25, 2024, at her home.
Born July 15, 1992, in Low Moor, Virginia, she was the daughter of Dottie Elaine (Turner) Young of Franklin.
An “outdoor country gal,” Ms. Young loved all things hunting and fishing. She also enjoyed attending sportsman’s shows, truck and tractor pulls, and county fairs. Additionally, she loved playing softball and attending concerts with her big brother. Other favorite pastimes included time spent riding around enjoying the country roadside, spending time with people and animals, horseback riding, watching movies, and talking to all her friends, both near and far, on Facebook. Above all, she will be remembered for her bubbly personality, constant friendships, and perpetual smile.
Also surviving are a brother, Terry Turner of Blue Grass, Virginia; aunts, Darlene Sue Hise of Staunton, Virginia, and Tammy Hoover of Ronceverte; several cousins; and many friends, including Dave Ellis and Jeff Lambert.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and uncles.
A memorial service was held Dec. 6, 2024, at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell, Virginia, with pastor Bobbie Jo Gardner officiating.
