Amanda Kay Hodges, 46, of Harrisonburg, Virginia, passed away Dec. 1, 2024, at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia.
She was born on April 12, 1978, in Harrisonburg, Virginia, the daughter of Brenda Pitsenbarger of Harrisonburg, Virginia, and the late Terry Richie Miller.
Mrs. Hodges attended Harrisonburg High School and was a Methodist by faith.
She had worked at Martin’s and Flow Alkaline Water. She was a free-spirited and strong-willed woman. She was compassionate and her smile was contagious. She loved making memories with her family.
In addition to her mother, she leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Byron Hodges of Glenville; a daughter, Skyler Pitsenbarger of Harrisonburg, Virginia; three sons, Brice Pitsenbarger of Lacey Springs, Virginia, and Bruce Pitsenbarger and Cody Pitsenbarger, both of Harrisonburg, Virginia; two brothers, Braxton Durett of Mt. Solon, Virginia, and Scottie Miller of Princeton; six grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday in the chapel of the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin with Pastor Mike Lambert officiating. Interment was at the North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton.
