Franklin Lions Club honored Dr. Greg Bowers with its first ever “Heart of Service” award. Besides his work with the local sports boosters, he is chairman of the board of directors for Pendleton Manor, one of the county’s largest employers, as well as church treasurer. Dr. Bowers, son of the late John Bowers and grandson of the late Pink Bowers, has continued the family tradition of caring for his community. “Heart of Service” is more than an appropriate award for this busy man.
