Cody Mitchell has been elected to serve as a member of the West Virginia FFA State Officer team during the organization’s state convention held July 6-9 at Cedar Lakes in Ripley. He will serve as the eastern region’s vice president.
A 2022 graduate of Peterburg High School and past president of the Petersburg FFA Chapter, he will serve as a state delegate at the National FFA Convention to be held Oct. 26 – 29 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
At the convention, he placed third in the extemporaneous speaking contest.
The son of Greg and Pammy Mitchell of Kline, his plans are to attend West Virginia University Potomac State College in Keyser and major in ag business.
