
Geneva Edith Nesselrodt Lambert, 88, of Dayton, Virginia, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sept. 13, 2026.
Born on April 26, 1938, in Brandywine, she was the daughter of the late George Edmund Nesselrodt and Anna Elizabeth Shaver Nesselrodt Eye.
Mrs. Lambert graduated from Franklin High School in 1956.
She was a dedicated secretary for more than 50 years at Valley Washers.
She was an active member of Victory Fellowship Church in Dayton, Virginia.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, and working in her flower gardens.
On Nov. 29, 1958, she married Warnie Delano Lambert, who survives.
Also surviving are children, Rebecca L. Acker (Warren) and Barry A. Lambert (Jan); grandchildren, David L. Acker (Jenny), Melissa A. Reeves (Matthew) and Evan A. Lambert (Brooklyn Michael); great-grandchildren, Madison and Mason Reeves; sisters, Louise Pence and Lois Hottinger; brother, Paul Nesselrodt; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by brothers-in-law, William Hottinger and Ernie Pence; sister-in-law, Jane Nesselrodt; and grandson, Delan Scott Lambert.
A celebration of her life was held Wednesday at Victory Fellowship Church in Dayton, Virginia, with Pastor Tim McAvoy officiating. A private graveside service took place at Dayton Cemetery, where she was laid to rest.
