Pendleton County High School Educators Rising members attended the 2026 spring West Virginia Educators Rising Conference March 2 – 4 at Canaan Valley Resort.
Three members, Callie Dunn, Larissa Greathouse and Vivian Pownell, participated in the event this year.
Dunn earned first place in Educators Rising Moment, and Pownell placed second in the children’s literature pre-school with her book (written and illustrated) “Minnie Makes Messes.”
During the conference members were able to network with Educators Rising members from across the state and enjoy educational sessions.
The career technical student organization’s mission is to inspire and grow current and rising educators to become community leaders and advocates for high quality education. This is accomplished through high school chapters and courses, along with being involved in conferences and competitions.
