Truman Miller, 77, of Seneca Rocks passed away on May 3, 2026, at Braxton Healthcare Center in Sutton.
He was born on Nov. 5, 1948, in Seneca Rock, the son of the late Denton and Chloe Birdie (Lough) Miller.
Mr. Miller attended school in Seneca Rocks and was a Christian in faith. He began working for the Fertig Cabinet Company before retiring after 40 + years of service from Germany Valley Limestone Company.
He was known as a hard working man, who enjoyed mowing grass and taking pride in his garden. He was an avid hunter. He was a true family man who lovingly took care of his wife and handicapped daughter and looked forward to seeing family at reunions and gatherings.
On Dec. 1, 1976, he married his loving wife, Connie Miller who survives in Clay.
Also surviving are two daughters, Rosetta Truman (Christopher) and Chrystal Plaugher, all of Clay; two sisters, Josie Champ (Dayton) of Lahmansville and Velma Bland of Onego; five brothers-in-law; and four sisters-in-law.
He was also preceded in death by five brothers, Johnny, Gene Roosevelt, Dewy, and Worth Miller; four sisters, Joy Rio, Mae Sites, Sweetie Vance and Pauline Phares; and four sisters-in-law.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Dusty Twigg officiating. The committal service will be at 2 p.m. at the Flanigan Hill Cemetery in Red Creek.
