He is a member of the pep club and enjoys playing the piano, hunting, drawing, and writing stories. He is a member of the golf team, where he had the lowest scoring average in 2024. In 2025, he was selected for the All PVC team, finished third overall, and was a member of the state qualifying team. He is on the All A Honor Roll and won second place in the 2024 West Virginia State Science Fair. He would like to continue playing golf in college while he pursues a career in the medical field.

A junior, Heavner is the Academic Student of the Month. He is a member of the National Honor Society and the football and basketball teams. He received All PVC first team defensive lineman in 2024. He is vice president of the FFA, where he was a 2023 Regional Creed winner, 2024 State Zero Turn State Tractor Driving winner, and the 2025 Regional Tractor Driving winner. He is the treasurer of the Upper Tract Producers 4-H Club. He attends the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and participates in the Christ Central Church Adopt-a-Highway program. He shows livestock at the county and state levels, earning grand champion lamb at the Tri-County Fair in 2024 and 2025. His plans are to attend college to pursue an engineering degree in the agricultural field. He is the son of Travis and Teresa Heavner of Franklin.

Huffman, an eighth grader, is the Pendleton County Middle School Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Jeremy and Stefanie Huffman of Circleville. She enjoys being able to compete on her school sports teams and making new friends. Her hobbies outside of school include softball, basketball, volleyball, hunting, and fishing. Her goals for the future include going to the state tournament with one or more of the sports teams she competes on and attending college.
