AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed which is a phrase from 2 Timothy 2:15. It is a Bible-centered youth ministry that provides programs and resources to reach children and help them grow in their faith through verse memorization, games, and other activities.
The fall session of the program will begin at 4 p.m. Sept. 3 at High Rock Church in Seneca Rocks. School age children from pre-kindergarten up are welcome to attend. Enrollment forms and bus slips may be picked up from Jeanette Ratliff at North Fork Elementary School. Each session begins with dinner, then an opening with music before classes and games. The two hours end with a closing and prayer.
Perfect attendance is rewarded through the Melissa Lambert Attendance Award. Last sessions awardees were Addy Huffman, Ellie Huffman, Ivy Huffman, Braxton Long, Tuff Heavner, Blake Long, Kaden Kimble, and Tori Heavner.
The High Rock AWANA staff is eagerly waiting the beginning of another great year.
