Through the cooperation and collaboration with Grant Memorial Hospital, The Children’s League, since November 2021, has operated the Scottish Rite Early Childhood Language Disorders Clinic, “Rite Care.” In a press release, The Children’s League would like families to know that The Children’s League offers free speech evaluations and therapy for children up to 21. This ensures that children from Grant County and surrounding communities throughout West Virginia have access to free professional speech therapy near where they live, learn and play.
Grant Memorial Hospital is the fourth location for “Rite Care” speech language disorders clinics managed by The Children’s League. Other locations are in Cumberland, and Oakland, Maryland, as well as Keyser.
In addition to speech therapy, The Children’s League also provides free orthopedic, cerebral palsy and cleft lip/palate clinics and physical therapy at its Cumberland, Maryland, location. All provided league services are free to children birth to age 21 from West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.
The Children’s League encourages pediatricians, professionals and parents to refer children that have questionable speech-language issues. To refer a child to be evaluated, call The Children’s League at 301-759-5200 .
