Roland Jennings Bennett, 92, of Circleville passed away on Jan. 15, 2025, at his home.
He was born on Dec. 29, 1932, on Hunting Ground, the son of the late Robert Jennings and Josie Leona (Vandevander) Bennett.
Mr. Bennett graduated from Romney School for the Deaf and Blind and was a Presbyterian by faith.
He had worked for Coca Cola for 35 years, before retiring in 1996.
He was a very independent man who enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a passion for traveling and had even ventured on a cruise.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, a brother, Frank Bennett of Circleville; his caretaker, Becky Hedrick of Circleville; a nephew, John Hoover (Sharon) of Harrisonburg, Virginia; five nieces, Sherry Cassell (Billy) of Durbin, Patti Bennett of Elkins, Donna Herchfelt (Paul) and Cathy Peto (Steve), all of Ohio, and Diana Corliss of Texas; and several aunts, uncles, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, twins Richard G. “Pee Wee” and Harold Bennett and Ralph “Fuzzy” Bennett; two sisters, Ruth Hoover and Marjorie Bennett; and a step-nephew, William “Bill” Long.
In honoring his wishes, his body has been cremated. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
