Harlan Erman Day, 87, of Riverton passed away Sept. 16, 2024, at his home.
He was born on Sept. 27, 1936, at Riverton, the son of the late Russell and Elsie (Harper) Day.
Mr. Day was a member of High Rock Church.
He was a passionate farmer that had the honor to grow up and work on the Wright and Betty Harper Farm for more than 70 years. He was welcomed to the family by Harper’s children, Becky, Lucy, Merlin and Berlin.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory two sisters, Josephine Day of Riverton and Donna Jean Hedrick of Maysville; and two brothers, Dewey Day of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and Jerry Day (Mary) of Fredricktown, Ohio.
He also was preceded in death by five brothers, Ray, Jimmie Harper, Owen, Roy Jacob, and Hubert Day; and a sister, Betty Baker.
Funeral services were held Sept. 19 at the High Rock Church in Riverton with Pastor Barbara Rexroad officiating. Interment was in North Fork Memorial Cemetery at Riverton.
