Margaret Rose Wimer, 71, of Franklin left her earthly home on Sept. 6, 2024, at her home.
She was born on April 18, 1953, at Cherry Grove, the daughter of the late Berlin and Clara Mae (Arbogast) White.
Ms. Wimer attended Circleville High School and was a member of Big Run Presbyterian Church. She worked various jobs throughout her life, including Franklin Garment Company, Hanover Shoe Company and Pendleton Nursing Home. She retired in 2021, after 22 years of service as a cook from Pendleton County High School, where she touched many students’ lives.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother who took pride in her family and her work. She was the author of the book, “Flood of Pendleton County.”
She leaves behind to cherish her memory three daughters, Tina Eye, LaBreeska Kimble (fiancé Buck Riggleman) and Amy Wimer, all of Franklin; two sons, Corey Wimer (Crystal) of Lost Creek and Marlin Wimer of Clarksburg; two sisters, Shirley Ann Bennett of Cherry Grove and Alice Losh of Staunton, Virginia; two brothers, Leroy Roger White of Arbovale and Thomas White of Cherry Gove; and 11 grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jackie Eugene, Paul, and Charles E. White; and five sisters, Darlene Willis, Martha Gilley, Ella May White, Donna Sue Colaw, and Leona Peck.
Funeral services were held Monday in the chapel of the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin with Pastor Tim Johnson officiating. Interment was in the White Family Cemetery at Riverton.
