Stanley Propst, 85, of Franklin passed away July 26, 2024, at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Dwayne and Karen Propst.
He was born March 12, 1939, at Moyers and was the son of the late Fred Leo Propst and Myrtle Lynn (Mitchell) Propst.
Mr. Propst attended Franklin High School and was a construction worker for Lockhart Construction in Akron, Ohio, for 35 years. He was a member of Franklin Moose Lodge #769.
He enjoyed woodworking, and always built a cedar chest for his grandchildren, daughters-in-law and nieces.
Surviving are the mother of his children, Mary Jane Santelli of Franklin; a daughter, Jodie Gardner (Rich) of Franklin; two sons, Kevin Propst (LaJusta) of American Fork, Utah, and Dwayne Propst (Karen) of Franklin; two brothers, Jesse Carroll Propst of Franklin and Sheldon Propst (Betty) of Bridgewater, Virginia; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Ida Mary Snyder, Velma Blondino and Marilyn Propst; five brothers, Charles Linaburg, Gene Rader, Arnold Propst, Jerry Propst and Harley Propst; and a grandson, Casey Kiser.
A funeral service was held Tuesday in the Kimble Funeral Home chapel in Franklin with his nephew, Pastor Jay Linaburg, officiating. Interment was in the Rexrode-Hoover Cemetery at Moyers.
