Davis Medical Center is proud to announce that its cardiovascular lab has been awarded reaccreditation for vascular testing by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission. Reaccreditation is granted for a three-year term in the areas of peripheral venous testing, peripheral arterial testing, and extracranial cerebrovascular testing.
Someone dies every 34 seconds of cardiovascular disease, making early detection of heart disorders, stroke, and other disease critical. Early detection is possible through the use of vascular testing and procedures.
“Our team puts patient care first, always,” said Joseph Dibacco, RT, director of radiology at DMC. “The reaccreditation reflects our commitment to the comfort, safety and expert care given to each patient. We are proud to bring the highest standards of quality in cardiovascular care.”
IAC accreditation is a “seal of approval” that patients can rely on as an indicator of consistent quality care and a commitment to continuous improvement.
The IAC is a nonprofit organization in operation to evaluate and accredit the facilities that provide diagnostic imaging and interventional-based procedures, thus improving the quality of patient care provided in private offices, clinics and hospitals where such services are performed.
